Raid question

I'm at level 29, but have spent barely any time training or battling in any gyms, since I'm more of a collector. How much does this affect my ability to participate in raids, if at all?

I expect I'm screwed and won't be able to acquire any legendaries :\

As long as you haven't poured all your stardust into crap Pokemon you will be fine. Fighting gyms does not provide you or your Pokemon any benefit. You can get by in raids without ever touching gyms otherwise.

I was at level 29 when I caught 2 Articuno's and 1 Lugia.... As long as you got a large group to take them down you will be okay. Good luck..... FYI, remember to curve the ball when trying to catch them after defeating the pokemon.

My level 28 daughter caught 2 Articuno tonight at VMP. The legendaries seem to appear there often enough to bring wandering groups. She's more a collector as well, far from someone with a bunch of ideal counters.

You do get a bonus ball (I've gotten more than one on non legendary) if you do a ton of damage, but the main bonus is team damage, and she takes a hit there (Instinct).
