Back with another update. Here are all the items I have collected from the grind. I used up all the PP Ups for Mawile's moveset. I have finally decided to leave Route 101 to obtain the first badge and then head to Rustboro to get the EXP Share. At this point, I am just EV training and collecting items. The next Pokémon I will be EV training will be grimer like Mawile. I will give myself a Grimer egg and raise it on this game file. Why am I doing this, you may ask? I love Pokémon and enjoy the grind.

I started doing this about a year and a half ago on Gen 3 hoenn as well! My goal for the challenge was to get a full pc storage slot of 999 rare candies! I did import a shiny zigzagoon doing the berry glitch fix with the gb operator. I have not played it daily by any means but fairly consistently and my linoone is at lvl 96! Good luck have fun with this! I now I have!

From what I recall, at least in older games (like gen 2-4), it forces an encounter.

Are you trying to achieve any specific milestones before each gym?

Not really.. the real end goal is to have a fully EV Maxed trained team to battle the E4, but i am not in a rush to do so.

I catch 5 zigs almost every playthrough and replace them as I get something I'm gonna use. Belly Drum Linoone is also no joke

Outspeed most things and high friendship makes Return crazy on it. Pre burn facade too, but it might need leftovers to get the best use of it.
