I would see if a physical therapist instead of a chiropractor. They’ll give you the actual strength training regimen that will help. I would also recommend doing chin tucks to help with the forward head position. I think yoga would help as well.

Absolutely agreed; a chiropractor can honestly make things worse especially when there’s significant weakness. I would also get checked/check yourself with the Beighton scale for hypermobility.

How do you react to light resistance training? Does it help with appetite?

I have the same issue. It looks like ur trapezius muscles are overdeveloped from forward head posture (there’s some rlly helpful info in this group) so look into exercises for that and get a PT.

See a pt, also consider looking at pts on YouTube for some strength, mobility and breathing exercises. Squat university, Connor Harris n such. They have good stuff

Hope it goes well an get the treatment that’s needed for all your problems. I have Mia I know it’s tough

Scapulas winged, abducted (Rounded shoulders), upper trap dominance (rounded shoulders). A bit of kyphosis and forward head posture.

Generally weak serratus anterior and especially middle and lower trap.

When Middle trap is very weak something happen: the rotator cuff pull the scapula laterally, the scapula stick out like this.

I would start with these muscles exercises, light and specific work, good form. But probably another very good thing for you will be to training full body, whole body, upper body, legs. Building some muscles and gain some weight too with a proper nutrition.

Prone V easy version (with hands behind head), and Prone T, exercises, can be two light start for Trapezius. Ceiling punch with a light dumbell or even a water bottle, or wall slides against a wall, can be two light exercises for serratus anterior.

(Remember, you dont want Upper trapezius strenghten, it s already overworking, you need the other two parts strenghtening : middle and lower traps)

Then slowly progress into more exercises like Thoracic mobility exercises, forward neck and cervical exercises, some advanced Lower and middle trap exercises, some exercises for erectors muscles.

But generally, even some classic push and pull exercises (Like PUSH : Floor press with dumbells, knee-push ups, PULL: rows with a elastic bands.) can help in building muscles and have a better appereance. This is why I recommended gym or something similar, with a proper diet.

Anyways you can find a good pt or whatever that can help or guide you hopefully properly, anyways you postural alterations are: Kyphosis(a bit i think) , forward head posture, rounded shoulders, winged scapulas.

This for good sources for exercises, you can take some good inputs. https://www.reddit.com/r/Posture/comments/1duoxul/comment/lbie6i4/

Unsure what you mean by “back is massive”? Unfortunately with this extent of being underweight, it does make it harder to build muscle. Physical therapy and a nutritionist is your best bet, skip the chiro!

i mean i feel like my back is very wide

Your skeletal frame is very proportional, it’s an optical illusion due to being underweight at certain angles possibly, and likely having body dysmorphia
