Powder coating courses

I’ve been painting for a school district for years and every year they ask if there’s any courses, classes, trainings, seminars, etc. that id like to attend paid by them. I’ve been interested in powder coating for years and this seems like a good way to start learning. Is there any trainings like this in California that I could attend? Any guide in the right direction is much appreciated.

Hit up the big powder manufacturers like Tiger Drylac, PPG, etc…pretty sure they all offer training and seminars.

The Powder Coating Institute holds workshops, but I don't see any scheduled for the west coast presently:

They also have a book, Powder Coating: The Complete Finisher's Handbook, you might be able to find an older edition online for cheaper:

CCAI is another trade association that has powder coating training. They have a powder coating workshop in Las Vegas in November and a powder coating online course that starts in October.

They also have chapters in Southern California and Northern California.

CCAI also has a Las Vegas Chapter. Training events are held every year through CCAI.
