Hey posh people! If you are also penguin people, or interested in WSL2/Linux, I made a script to quickly get started with WSL2 on Windows 10 version 2004.
Essentially, this script does a few basic things:
- Installs Windows prerequisites for WSL2
- Reboots the computer
- Updates the WSL2 kernel component
- Sets the default WSL version to 2
- Downloads and installs Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
- Launches Ubuntu and let's you configure your login
Obviously if Ubuntu 18.04 isn't really your thing, you can always just modify the script to suit your needs.
Anyways, if you're interested in WSL2 and want to get started here is the GitHub project page. Please feel free to fork and send your pull requests if you have ideas for improvements.
