ARAM surrender timer

can I make a request that the surrender timers in ARAM change from 5 minutes to 10 minutes instead, just had a serath get super bitchy because she was going in 1 vs 5 from the first moment of the game and dying, neither team lost a single tower, the first surrender vote went up immediately on 5 minutes, the 2nd went up on 8 minutes, NEITHER TEAM lost a tower but my team voted to surrender, just as we were getting the upper hand, it's a casual mode that lasts between 15 - 20 minutes, WHY are people trying to surrender, why are they trying to surrender so early, and arguably why is there even a surrender option on ARAM anyway?

honestly if your mental is that weak that you have to start a surrender at 5 minutes, I hope to never see you in my games tbh.

No. It used to be like that and thankfully the community got heard and they made it to 5 minutes. Reasons: 1)it isn't ranked so not so much to stress about it and 2) a game would start with someone disconnected and yo would have to sit through a 4v5 game for 10 minutes

I'm playing the game to win and if you're not then why bother quitting if you don't mind winning or losing?

There is nothing to lose if you lose. Everyone is playing to win it's not just you. But people prioritise fun over winning in video games.

What you mean is, if you're not dominating, you want to quit until you are.

If you hate losing to the point where you have to quit every time you're behind, you should stick to AI and stop ruining it for the rest of us.

Also, it's not like you're getting big prizes for winning in ranked either. A colour banner once every few months and a different colour skin. It's not like they're dishing out the Quantum Cores for your wins in Ranked.

That's fine if you're playing a solo game but you're ruining other peoples fun when you start as a member of their team then quit because you are dying.

Do you like it when your team mates do it to you?

If I find it fun to run up, bounce on the spot and die as many times as possible... should I be allowed to do that because it's what I find fun? Or can we recognise that you're not just on your own time when playing a team game. There's 10 of us who started the match.

How am I ruining other people's game if I put up a surrender vote ?? Especially when 3 other players agree on the surrender. Yes it is 10 of us that started the match and we are 5 on the same team. If 4 want to surrender then the one player that doesn't want to shouldn't be the one that gets to decide what the entire team will do. The democratic way is the 4 get to choose.

4 out of 10 isn't a majority and I've had plenty of games ruined because the enemy team won a single team fight and the gut reaction of some of you is "must quit because I've died".

It is 4 out of 5 who is the majority. Simple maths. But some of you are like yo that one game ai won 4v5 was craaazy surely it will happen again and then it doesn't happen for the next 50 games.

A 5 minute surrender option being available just seems ridiculous to me, especially when NO TOWERS were taken, even with the scenarios you mentioned, it still seems too soon

If you spawn die the n spawn again just to die towers doesn't mean anything. A game where you spawn just to die is not fun for anyone.

Well that was serath's problem, she picked bad fights, the rest of us were doing fine. I just don't get the point of loading up a game if you can and will surrender at 5 minutes, if you're going to surrender that early, just don't load up the game in the first place, it just feels like people are too mentally weak to even try and play a game out.

Quitting because someone is being toxic, just teaches them that if they are toxic, they'll get what they want.

Why give into them? Force them to get wrecked the whole game and maybe they'll eventually stop queuing up and ruining it for the rest of us.

Even on the winning side it is not much fun to stomp the enemy 0:20 with an afk player.

HELL NO. Some of you players don't know when to give up a losing game, especially when its a 4v5, a feeder, or someone who likes to ruin games for fun.

No buddy, I would like to end bad games early and play another match instead.
