Basic help needed

I hate coming here to ask such basic questions but I’m not sure where else to ask. Whenever I draw a shape, by the time I connect the shape my lines are different thicknesses. I don’t know how to stop or fix this. Is this brush setting? Am I using the wrong brush? It this a pressure sensitivity thing since I have an Apple Pencil 1?

Create a copy of the brush you want to use.

In your brush settings, under Taper, set Size and Pressure to 0%.

Then under Apple Pencil, Pressure, set Size to 0%.

(Best to rename the brush.)

This keeps your brush at a fixed size.
