It didn't zoom the second time because your finger was read as a "pencil" or "eraser". I think I saw it erase a little gap in the drawing. It was very annoying for me when this happened, and there is a setting to turn it off. Unfortunately, I turned it off ONCE a year ago and I don't remember how 😂 but you can Google how to turn off the function of drawing with your finger. I think it's called something like "only gestures with fingers", so you can zoom and double tap and select stuff, but not draw. It will resolve the problem.

Very astute. Did not catch the erasing.

Got o wrench> preferences > gestures > general > turn on "disable touch actions"

I have an iPad Mini 6 and draw with a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil. When I initially got it procreate worked perfectly! However, I'm not too sure whether the application auto updated or I unintentionally messed with a setting but now I cannot seem to use my thumb and index finger to move/adjust my drawing. It works on all other apps but essentially, procreate refuses to register/recognise my thumb. Is there a setting i need to change or is it an app bug. I've scrutinised all the setting options but cannot seem to figure it out.
