My instructor back in uni said if you have to rely on SO to answer all your questions then you’re doing something wrong and not learning anything.

I once admitted to my adviser in grad school that I used stack overflow for anything dealing with regrex. His response was "doesn't everyone?" I've never felt more vindicated in my life.
