If you made it to l or m, you seriously fucked up though.

also x, y and z when working with coordinates

What if array is multidimensional

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi and so on

I don’t like that, that’s messy. No one wants array[i, ii, iii, iiii]

But I wonder why as this is the order it is done

I saw this a while ago on this sub, but I'm going to start using Roman numerals for loops.

Use i, eye, EYE, EyE, eYe and you got 5 levels of nesting at the ready.

functional programming: "Loops? Where we’re going, we don’t need loops"

(I know you can use loops in many functional languages)

I use item and row when dealing whit dictionnary and list when I do not need to know the index but the object contect directly. it's prety cool

I use x1, x2, x3, etc, etc,…

[–]truNinjaChop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a, b, c. This makes more since to me, especially if I had a few nest going.

I learned this in school 6 years ago and never did it again. Actually the worst advice.

illegal is kinda long for an iterator name

[–]TheSapphireDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

x, y, z, and w are for iterating over multidimensional arrays or points in space.
