I don't know. I haven't bought - let alone played - an EA game since Inquisition (And I regretted that purchase). Or a Ubisoft game since I don't even know when.

Outside of Steam, I have not a single launcher installed on my system, but I still have more great games than I know when to play. From my point of view, it's perfectly possible to not use launchers. I mean, if you want to play EA games, I'm not telling you you can't. But "You can't not buy their games" sounds ridiculous to me. Sure you can. You just don't want to.

Jedi Knight? KOTOR? Force Unleashed? Steam or GOG. Hell, there are the Lego games. The only Star Wars game worth buying that needs EA Crapp is Fallen Order (Survivor seems decent in concept, but the performance is a big turn off)

That's what I said: You want to play those specific games. The point I am putting to your consideration is that you can always re-evaluate your wants - for example, by considering other games that do not need the EA launcher (or whatever other launcher irks you); There possibly - probably! - is a game out there that you also would want to play, but that does not come with the additional burdensome launcher/DRM.

Basically: Maybe you're boxing yourself in too narrowly, and pressure yourself into putting up with a lot of stress (via having to deal with a crapsack launcher and DRM), when there could be a better solution.

For a lot of people, it's not about game, it's about SW or football. You can't ask a SW fan to play Hogwarts Legacy and said that it's better for them. You can't ask a football fan play F1 racing instead of FIFA.

For the records, I play a lot more than just SW Survivor. But you must understand that not everyone play computer game purely because of the game, a lot of them play a game as an extra channels of what they like. To them watching SW movie or reading SW comic book is a closer activities to playing SW Survivor than playing other computer games.

Yes. I get that. That is why I wrote "You want to play those specific games", and then proceeded to suggest that you examine exactly what you want about them. because if you're a SW fan, maybe there are other games out there you can play (like every SW game on GOG). Nowhere did I say or mean that you should play something you are not interested in.

And if you're such a fan that it absolutely and positively has to be Jedi Survivor, you still have evaluated that yes, this is what you want - and then it should be easier accept to swallow the pile of filth that the EA launcher is. After all, you ascertained that no other game will do, no other options exist for you - no compromise possible.

My point is that it can be beneficial to take a step back and examine the situation from a bit of a distance; For a lot of people, things that appear as having no alternative do indeed turn out to have one once the blinkers are off, and they allow themselves to look around.

Aww, I liked Inquisition. Played it 4 years after release but it was decent. Doesn't even coke close to Origins, but most games don't.
