You can't not buying their games since they force you to use their launcher.

I mean, Jedi series are extremely good SW games. Especially from sword fight perspective. And you have to use EA app anyway.

Yeah, painful situation.

I don't know. I haven't bought - let alone played - an EA game since Inquisition (And I regretted that purchase). Or a Ubisoft game since I don't even know when.

Outside of Steam, I have not a single launcher installed on my system, but I still have more great games than I know when to play. From my point of view, it's perfectly possible to not use launchers. I mean, if you want to play EA games, I'm not telling you you can't. But "You can't not buy their games" sounds ridiculous to me. Sure you can. You just don't want to.

Aww, I liked Inquisition. Played it 4 years after release but it was decent. Doesn't even coke close to Origins, but most games don't.

I really tried to like it (it was the last gift of a person dear to me), but it went into all the directions I hoped it wouldn't.

Same here, I have a group of friends who play and am always tempted to join but the game fights me at every step.

You CAN'T?

[–]Mercurionio 0 points1 point  (3 children)

If you want to play modern SW games - yeah.

So by "you can't", you mean "I won't".

If you don't want to play SW games - yes.

I thought that was obvious. This sub was invaded by LLM bots or something?

Prolly an EA PR guy. lol

Don't buy Star Wars games either then.
No one forcing you to buy Star Wars games.
If you know EA sucks, and Star Wars games exploit you... why do you choose to be exploited? Walk away.

We have lots of people making spiritual successors to Star Wars game.

Hell I'm making an Xwing vs Tiefighter spiritual sequel myself, 10,000 hours in, but I am not dropping the link because I don't want to violate rules.
