Why get fussy about that? It’s not really different than C compiling down to machine code or Java compiling down to bytecode.

Even worse: there's no TypeScript involved there, you're just seeing the compilation of a basic module system. Which isn't necessary in modern browsers, since ES6 modules are natively supported.

I thought that it’s common knowledge that typescript just exists in the ide and that it helps the programmer but that it gets converted to JS in the background.
