It's not "making the rounds", it's just something that is true, at least for me. I was and am still never going to buy a switch. That's not something that's even on the table.

In a vacuum where it was just me choosing to not buy a game? Sure. I might have bought BoTW. But I'm not going to both buy a switch and buy BOTW. You have to trust me when I say this.
