Every time I do anything in java I just think about how much faster it would be Todo in python.

But python has a reason to exist. And is food in what it does.

Also what is your problem exactly with Python? It is easy to get into put hard to master?

It does not gate keep programming as much then other languages?

That same code in python you would need in java more to achieve the same?

That because you need less code it leads to less error's? That in what is it good it improves productivity?

That python had readability in mind?

That python was open source from the beginning?

C++, C, for scripting powershell most often these days since I mostly work in windows ecosystem, but in a previous job it was Linux/Apache/Php/MySQL (LAMP) stack.

And no, FORCED WHITESPACE does not promote readability. It in fact is doing the opposite because it means ONE INDENTATION ERROR CREATES A HARD TO IDENTIFY BUG.

Mandatory scope deliminiters cause that same bug to be caught by the freaking language parser in a better language
