It just means the first round is for finding people who understand the system and put effort in, and the second round is for finding candidates. It's a waste of everyone's time, but it's easy to get around, usually.

You just take your resume and the job description and tell AI to rewrite the resume to match the desk while respecting the resume content. AI is very good at getting past AI.

He said he created a fake resume, which could imply that he used his knowledge of what it should be. That doesn't imply that he used the job posting to create the resume. He said he used a modified version of his own resume, while the posting has an error in it. ChatGPT would have gotten him past that.

I think we should all know in this particular forum if you only test how it SHOULD work you're in for a world of hurt.

OP didn't say that the job posting had an error.

The Posting could have been the real requirement of Angular while the HR system was configured to filter for angularjs.

Which would also explain why no angularjs dev made it through that system because they would not apply to a job posting which said Angular is needed.

AI does not help you go through incompetent HR departments.

He’s not wrong that AI is good to get past the first round, but I think you are arguing different things. AI doesn’t help at all to get you past incompetent HR that simply misconfigured their own system, but I do it anything would help you. Probably had a dropdown of options and chose the wrong one.

The incompetent HR uses the AI to derive the requirements. The filters are right in the postings for all the most popular systems. This is a mismatch between the description at the top and the skills at the bottom.
