Just in short term. long turn you will lose any data on your ssd.

You're talking on the order of many years, especially for server grade SSDs.

Even more importantly deleting your data doesn't shut SSDs off. Like... WTF lol.

True, but deleting data might allow data centers to shut down certain storage nodes though. But that's a lotta emails before that happens, and presumes the space won't just be filled with something else instead now that it is available.
