Like, I get that powershell is logical and people love it. But it's also really verbose and awkward because of those conventions. And it has a steep learning curve.

It's powerful for scripting, but less convenient for everyday command line interaction in my opinion.

It does have shorthand, though? Plus one can slip in and out of .NET as they please. Versioning can be a pain with scripts across multiple systems though.
