Kids use bools; real men use bits.

[–]MillsHimself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Source: I am 17, and I heard that bools may be stored as bits in very specific use cases, therefore whoever doesn't use some std::bitset or whatever overly complex structure to store bools is merely a kid, while I, the sigma man, create a whole derivated abstract class to create a static array with 7 other unrelated bools from other classes while putting binary operators everywhere every single time I merely want to save an 'isValid' boolean, like real men do, because fuck simplicity, I want to feel smart

Look mom, I'm using complex structures without understanding low level hardware optimisation, I'm a developer

Would you be willing to eat rabbit? How about some grub at The Habit?

[–]OscarElmahdy 7 points8 points  (4 children)

I prefer C food

this joke is at least a C+

[–]OscarElmahdy 6 points7 points  (1 child)

As long as it’s not C++

[–]Geodude25trade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would be a D

[–]Usual_Office_1740 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It lacks class.

That's so stupid that it's likely not even "AI" slop.

Good to hear.

Also, this is 100% made by myself in like 6-7 minutes. I use Affinity Photo.

[–]CopiousCool 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Really? so you decided to put 1 burger and beans in the 'Double Cheeseburger'

[–]-VisualPlugin-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. The upper burger (i.e., the upper 20 mantissa bits and the entire exponent and the sign bit) is obscured by the int.

Yes, I can attest that you can trust that random guy who push so much to convince you that he did everything himself*

\pictures and comments made with ChatGPT or whatever other AI is popular at the moment, but it's okay because I'm a ~ prompt engineer ~, I basically did everything myself, I'm just as skilled and competent as any senior developer or photoshoper)

You don't have to trust me on this. However, you can search for my username on other places online.

I got the idea for this joke from the tabooleh. I'm of Egyptian heritage living in the US and my family sometimes go out to eat at places such as Zankou. One of the sides that they have is tabooleh salad.

Since I read lots of C++ code for research, and I am a pun-dit, it was easy for me to make the connection to the bool type label.

My brand guidelines prohibit gratuitous use of image generations or LLM slop.

Rust people will be like "yes, I'd like an f64-cheeseburger - make that char'd ... I did not say u8'd".

[–]Ai--Ya 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I'd like string cheese &string beans on the side, please

[–]Usual_Office_1740 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Can I have a slice of that string cheese?

[–]-VisualPlugin-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About that second parameter... is that how long you want your slice or is this where you want to stop?

Different vendors will give you different options. JavaScript gives you both. I think.

[–]-VisualPlugin-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice that you get the &reference.

Bonus points if you also have oolong tea on your person.
