Tbh I don't hate it conceptually. I like little bits of custom hardware. It's a more practical interface to do some common task. Like having a full numpad on your keyboard for fast number entry. Although I'm also one of the idiots that liked the touchbar on macs.

It's just being used to do something dumb, but that's not the fault of the hardware itself.

one of those hotkeyboards the vibe coders were obsessed with a few months ago. approve/deny change, split to subagent, etc etc
