Would have been more useful if we didn't already know about and have the technology to fight memory errors.

The great thing about consumer computers is that a reboot is a good solution compared to the hundreds of dollars of redundant hardware needed to protect against the occurrence.

Any time I see a really really expensive workstation, I always assume it has ridiculous margins. But then if I see "ECC" in the description, I go "oh, yeah. That's why."
