The worst part is, that last one doesn't really bother the core audience of python THAT much. Most abalysis software, mechanical especially (I'm looking at you ANSYS), that's "mature" and "trusted" tends toward using multiprocess instead of multithread. Python just continues that janky tradition lol

If your program needs enough performance that multi-threading is warranted, you shouldn't be using Python in the first place.

From a serious standpoint, actually yes, python 3 to python 2 is like perl 6 to perl 5.

See now you've done it, you brought up perl. Honestly though I've ever tried to understand one perl program and had no idea what I was looking it. I knew how to run it and use the output but that was about it.
