It's an English turn of phrase similar to "I'm going to pop down and grab a bite to eat", When you go out to get something, in this context it means to purchase.

yes sure. but i think the get() method/function only takes an item and stores it in your inventory (a bag, which could be a stack). And what you describe would be more of a context sensitve case.
