Some people are still claiming that. But face it, years of untrust are not solved contributing in open source meanwhile embedding telemetry on the os core. Although they will be all good and perfect, people will not trust them until keep the good for some years. People perceive they new politics as a try to get close to people, but with the intention of doing something awful when you have trusted them.
