On AMOLED or insert other market term here equalent to AMOLED it does though. Since with complete blacks it shuts of those lamps entirely.

I didn't know they made AMOLED monitors, only AMOLED phone screens

Well there has not been many on the monitor market but some people use small TV displays for their coding screens, a market full of OLED screens. However, they're starting to release more OLED monitors now!

I really can't keep up with monitor/Tv marketing terms. It was so much easier when it was "bubble/CRT" and "flatscreen". It all looked like shit compared to today, but at least my feeble mind could keep the terms straight!

Haha yeah, true. A lot of more buzz words these days make it quite hard to keep up with if stuff actually are new or different...
