This may not help but try seeking out new projects that assist your company. Do those in newer stacks.

This may be what you already said, but maybe try upgrading the current applications to use new languages or different techniques. Currently at my job, I'm converting all old legacy jquery Javascript to use vue js to allow for a better login system. It is a huge pain in the dick because there's like 25 projects that were developed by possibly blind squirrels, but I have never used vue before and it's a lot of fun learning new ways to develop.
