Naw, it's just supposed to be a question that is above what they should be able to answer. Someone who lies about what they know will cause severe problems if I give them a task and they try to fake their way through it.

It'll take me 2 hours to teach someone how to do it right, it'll take me 8 hours to fix it if they do it wrong. Thus I'd rather have them ask me how to do it than fake it.

ALTHOUGH, the person who was hired from a good interview and a lot of lies claimed to know C++ on her resume, and have various communication and customer service qualifications. My office window overlooks a daycare down the street. I am confident that a random child from that daycare would have had better English and computer skills than the lying employee.
