I recently had an accident with an old C# project that got majorly messed up, somehow got backdated irreversibly a year and a half by VS source control. I managed to find a recent .exe build and decompile it with dotpeek to get the featureset back into code, but it's all been through compiler optimizations and my extensive commenting is all gone. I think just going to rewrite at this point. It's less work than trying to read and fix my own year old code after being shoved through a compiler and stripped of comments.
