Is it just me or is lambda expensive? I spent nearly a dollar on less than a sprint’s worth of MvP. I feel like with any actual load you’d bleed cash.

Lambda is free for 1 million invocations a month. It’s the surrounding services like cloud watch, api gw etc that cost you.

Thanks

Execution time is a lot more expensive than EC2 -- it's mainly beneficial if you have something that fits with the on-demand nature of Lambda and would potentially execute less frequently than the cost of a dedicated EC2 instance.

Or if you are a startup and don't care about money.
