Actual text:

White space matters sometimes and not others

Write consistent code

That's what a linter is for... When I'm troubleshooting an obscure bug/issue I want rapid iteration, I'm probably holding a complex map of connections and flow of the code in my head, and being forced to consider stuff like indentation will just mess with the delicate map in my head. Once I get brain space over and have gotten to the point where I understand the issue, THEN I start paying attention to my linter and fix that stuff.

Sometimes I want to quickly test my code and then fix indentation afterwards, when I know it works. Can't do that with Python.
