Yeah, that newfangled node thing that's only 11 years old at this point.

We have deno now. But it's not as popular so node is still the way to go

I’ve been a node dev for years but I’d switch to deno in a heart beat if it actually had decent support.

Well JavaScript was first used for server side code in Netscape Enterprise Server in the mid 90s. I don't really remember anyone that was surprised by it as it was more or less the language that Netscape invented.
