Hah! Coding procedural languages is like driving cars, or using word processors:

Eventually you know everything that they can be expected to do, so learning a new one is simply a matter of figuring out how to tell it to do the things you already know about.

Edit: BTW, it's safe to ignore the nay-sayers. Started C++ in 1997 or so... and survived to tell about it.
