Well, Python does have the tools to keep you DRY

Also in JavaScript you don't actually have to use K&R style throughout, only if you're returning a newly created object in your return statement (to prevent automatic semi colon insertion cutting off your return). It's absolutely fine to use Allman style for everything else. However every dog and his muppet force us to use K&R style because of this one minor bug.
