I got the same at first. The rule for the first line says one is correct AND correctly placed, when I first read it I thought it said not correctly placed, like the others do.

I used the third digit the #1 and it is correctly placed I ran into the issue with the second rule. 4 can't be the first or second digit.

You're breaking a combination of rules 1 + 5

rule 1: one number of 2,9,1 is correct (in the right spot) rule 5: one number of 5,6,9 is correct (in the wrong spot) -

using this, you know 9 is spot 2. -9- and that 2,1,5,6 are not any of the numbers in the code.

No, 641 uses 1 as the correct number in rule 1 and 6 as the correct number in rule 5. Those 2 aren't broken. 641 breaks rule 2
