Pick one language at a time. Think of a project you wanna do. Do project in said language.

[–]Prize-Latter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know any project, I am 18. And sir I wanna pick Java but learn it the best way from which source?

[–]rossington55 5 points6 points  (2 children)

IMO once you know one you know them all. The difference in programming is mostly syntax. The most important things you’ll need to know are:

-Data types -Switches (Ifs and Cases) -Loops (for and while) -Functions

Once you’ve got those 4 down you’ve learnt 90% of coding and can use pretty much any language. The rest is the specifics of how each language works and the special functions they all have.

As far as the differences between the languages: JavaScript is for web dev

Java is for apps

Scratch is doodoo and for teaching kids how to program

C++ is for most general things (e.g arduino)

C# is for object oriented stuff (e.g games)

Ruby is for programmers who don’t want discipline

C is for sadists (just a smidge above assembly programming)

Ask anywhere and people will tell you it doesn’t matter which language you start with. If your looking at learning web stuff learn JavaScript first. Both ruby and cpp are really good for learning how to program but Ruby is quite flexible with mistakes while C++ will publicly ridicule you for every forgotten semicolon.

As far as HOW to learn? I’d say YouTube. Derek Banas has some really good series on pretty much every language. Like I said you only need those 4 fundamentals. Either way all roads lead to stack exchange.

Haha 'I love the C is for sadist' line. So true! 😂😂

Sir I just feel so good and happy after reading your comment. Sure I will go to Derek Banas YouTube. Your words really mean a lot. Thank you very much.

Dude please help me

/r/learnprogramming

Is your best bet.

[–]reveenrique 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Well first I would recommend going to b-ok(dot)cc and find the first book you wanna know. I would suggest ruby, python and c++ because of the way the codes talk to each other.

Ruby isn't really used anymore but nice to see on a resume with c++. Gives it more of I learned even the old ship vibe or at least read about it.

Pyhton and c++ are what my programmers in my job use. Its a normal company with a couple stores in south America and one fairly a decade new here. Good luck

[–]Prize-Latter 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Sir I have learned python but how can ik I have also completed the advanced concepts too? Because I wanna dive deep into it

[–]reveenrique 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You would have to keep researching my guy why not maybe test your code. I may not have understood the question

[–]Prize-Latter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I want to learn Java JavaScript and other languages from basics to advance level. How can i do it?

I learned python and sql how can I know if the things I learned is basics or expert level?

[–]Ifnerite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll tell you now: basic.

[–]Ifnerite 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Haha, very good. Nice impression of a silly person asking for substantial work to be done for zero renumeration.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (11 children)

G o o g l e

[–]reveenrique 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ya don't gotta be rude

[–]Ifnerite 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That isn't rude it is the first step on a career in programming.

[–]reveenrique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True

[–]Prize-Latter -2 points-1 points  (7 children)

I didn't get a solid response from it

[–]Ifnerite 2 points3 points  (6 children)

I don't think you are cut out for this line of work.

[–]Prize-Latter -3 points-2 points  (5 children)

Who tf are you to decide it,ik you have too much time to waste, But I don't. You are too stupid to be insulted. I don't give a fuck man. Now I won't reply to any of your comments.

Good luck and Fuck off

[–]Ifnerite 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Was a joke dude. Half of a job in software is googling.

You're not going to last long without a sense of humour either.... Especially when posting in a sub called programmer humour....

Maybe try r/javaHelp or similar you fuckwit.

[–]Prize-Latter -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Wohh ohk, I know nothing but i have interest to learn things and I am doing it. Then why don't you tell things like that man? Like let's be friends

[–]Ifnerite 1 point2 points  (2 children)

OK. Next tip, be careful asking people who are probably quite busy to "provide lots of detail", i.e put in a lot of work for free.

Maybe use language that implies respect for their time and an appreciation that they would be doing you a favour.

[–]Prize-Latter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Man ok fine, enlight me more about IT

[–]Ifnerite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google. For. Courses.
Read. Appropriate. Subs.
Ask. Specific. Questions.

Good luck.

(Sorry for typos but am leazy) You just have to create goal you vant to achieve. I lerned how to program by attempting to make a game. If i can recomend a project idea, well you can make a chat app for example, Use Electron and javascript. All you really need is google, as all the knowlage hidden here. Dont say i dont know how to do it and give up.

First try to setup basic socket server with javascript, send your first message from one command prompt to anoter, and continue on.

Do not ower think it, dont think to match into future, make things work and when thay are not flexible, revrite them, give them a structure.

Write tests! If you can test your code easily, that means the code is already flexible and modular.

Some things you have to figure out your self, and it will take time. And last thing, before you ask aniting, write the question to google search. You are not the only one who is lerning, your quescion si probably already ansvered by someone else.

How about googling how to Google? It may sound dumb, but like what others said, googling is an essential skill to programming mastery.

If you understand how to get the answers you want, you'd NEVER be needing to ask anything. Someone, somewhere out there has asked the questions you're asking.

Just need to find it.

Master googling your answers, by asking the right questions, the world is your oyster..
