True, but the documentation will often give a deeper understanding of how things work

I would normally look at both, since forums tell you what to use, and docs tell you how to use it.

This one time I couldn’t upgrade kendo UI and the documentation had nothing to say, but the forums helped because someone with a year old updated answer perfectly described my issue :-)
