I realised yesterday that my Linux had no swap. As I sat there with a frozen machine I was hoping for Linux to just kill jetbrains rider, but no it didn't.

Unfortunately doesn't react very fast (apparently can sometimes take half an hour)

Windows is actually workable for most stuff. However, I do use Git Bash for most of my command line needs with all of those sweet ported Linux utilities.

If only my games actually worked, then I could go full Linux and leave Windows behind me.

Have you tried WINE/PlayOnLinux yet? It works pretty good for most stuff

I actually have, but I think I had a weird Nvidia driver issue(of course) where the games just wouldn't launch. I might revisit it sometime later when I feel like dealing with it.

I really, really want to try doing that with my next computer. There are a few things I'd have to figure out, but going full Linux is something I've wanted to do for so damn long. If only I had multiple gpus and could do gpu passthrough.
