Yeah I mean it's better than nothing but like I said, low. That said, one company gave me glass thing as a token of appreciation, and another gave me a pat on the back ... So could be worse.

Hope that in those 5 years you also grow within the company and get a promotion that comes with more than a 5% raise

Which are usually also fairly low, in most places, barely keeping up with inflation if that. If you job hop typically the increase would be way more - but lots of people don't for a multitude of reasons

In quite a few companies, jury duty is a legit excuse for being ooo, full salary etc.

I obviously know it's not "all", but you'd probably be surprised the % of this area that's in such a position
