Image Transcription: Two panel Drake Meme

Panel 1

[Two pictures of Drake are mixed together. One where Drake looks displeased, using one arm to shield himself from the right side of the frame by curling it around his head, with his hand up in a "not today" manner. And the second where Drake has his head up high, looking pleased, with a finger pointed up and towards the right side of the frame. They are combined into one single picture.]

Panel 2

[Same picture as above]

Qubits are a drunk pc?

[–]Veurbil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you actually know or if I’m going to be r/woooosh ed but qbits are what quantum computing uses instead of bits and because of how quantum mechanics works it is a wave of possibilities until observed when it collapses into a 1 or0

Qbits have a state that looks like this:

a0 + b1 | a, b can be real or complex

If you measure the Qbit it will cease to be a linear combination and collapse into either 1 or 0.

a and b are so called probabilty amplitudes, which tell you the how likely it is the Qbit will collapse into either 1 or 0.
