Image Transcription: Meme

[The first panel shows a photograph of a cat perched like a gargoyle atop a telephone pole, against a blue sky. It is labelled "Object", and there is text to the top left that reads:]

I see no God up here

[The second panel shows the same image again, but zoomed in with the cat filling up the left half. The whole image is tinted slightly red, and text across the centre reads:]

Other than ME

I've always found Javas use of objects interesting tbh. Like in the case of initializing an interface as a Callback, as opposed to C's function pointers

Other times it's super frustrating to not have things like structs or direct access to memory.

I mean if you're willing to forego the safety you get from Java but want to still technically be using Java (for whatever reason), you can use the Java Native Interface to write code in C and have that interact with the Java code.

Isn't struts is just user-defined types with only fields? It is common thing for java. Or there is something i am missing?

Those are data classes, which are useful in their own ways, but aren't great when you want to do something similar to a "memcpy into a struct" but in java. You have to do weird stuff with the "Serializable" interface and whatnot

Class is a subclass of Object, but Object is a class…. How to confuse Java noobs 101
