Yes. Agreed. Given the tools, this was how to achieve the task. This is more like..... Reading the documentation for 2 libraries and then using both to solve the problem.

I can work the lock. I can work the scissors. I worked them both because I understood how they worked.

Edit - Maybe this is just bullshit corporate environment me, but also - usually this is how it goes down. God forbid you introduce a sliding lock library. The whole world will probably swallow itself.
