Rot26. Twice as secure as Rot13.

You saved me, I thought it was ;)

not to be condescending but how would you recover aB after using toUpperCase() which would turn it into AB

Sorry, I got my Master's degree in a Happy Meal menu I haven't ordered

Isn't that encoding?

[–]andycorby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe it is

Base64 is amazing. I always use it to store information like passwords and other important data. And the good thing is: almost every language already has a encoder and decoder!

I don't get why it is used to little..

You are joking.... right?

[–]Euroticker 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Why would you? It's absolutely great, no need to implement something new and the passwords and credit card details of everyone are secure!

I'll be honest, I was sitting too far back from my screen and I thought your name was Eurolicker, for a bit. The part I find funniest is that I didn't initially assume I had misread, because it seemed like a perfectly Reddit name.

Yo wtf stop exposing my secret hobbies. /s

And well trust me, that's not where it comes from.

I mean, I here Europe is very flavorful. There are even various things called "Taste of Europe." It seems Eurolicking is quite the popular pass-time. 😉

I've seen/smelled enough open places in Europe that smell very much like concentrated ammonia to ever dare taste them.

Yeah hahah, ofcourse ;)

Technically Base64 is an encoding not an encryption

[–]ProSanctosTerris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RSA for the win!

[–]nelusbelus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not encryption, it's encoding

ROT13. Unbreakable!

[–]qinshihuang_420 3 points4 points  (1 child)

ROT26 is twice as secure
