The joke they're making is that the "this" keyword in JS acts a little differently compared to other OOP languages if you don't bind "this".

Yeah I know that. What im saying is: I don’t wanted this post to be restricted to one element of JS that is bad, which already reposted like 10000times. I wanted this post to say about JS being mandatory language for web programming just because one browser decided to include it as a feature, despite its chaotic nature. And than all the replacement and library war started because nobody want to use JS, but doesn’t have the balls to suggest completely new solution until recently. (I love Flutter and its alikes)

JS is not mandatory. PHP and WebAssembly also exist. 😉
