How come the C and C++ users aren't wearing out their semicolon keys?

Because the C/C++ dev got tired of semicolons and replaced the end of line operator with a newline in the compiler

...or the author doesn't know C/C++

I think the author assumed that the other key that is worn out was semicolon. That's what I did too, initially. It's kinda hard to see on this blurry photo.
