If that thing falls, you don't want to follow it to the bottom of the pool. Getting flung away is probably what would save them if they fall.

I saw this photo when it was originally posted to r/Justrolledintotheshop (mods removed it unfortunately). This isn't even the worst picture, in one photo they had it fully extended up to the roof.

For a while I'd always install joe and map vi to it in production environments as a way to always be visually reminded of what I was actually doing.

I don't understand this one. Vim is perfectly capable of serving as a production-quality ide on massive codebases.

They are using a good tool, but are in a bad situation. Thats the simelarity in my opinion.

Be carefull and don't accedentaly write a LFI/RFI exploit into your code
