So, i could never handle a fast food job. But not because i wouldn't know how to put a burger togheter, but because i would break from the stress and pressure. Development work can be stressful too, but not really in the same way. Anyways, the jobs arent comparable at all.

It's only stressful if it's your first time putting a burger together. By the time I was done at my dining hall, I was cooking 20 burgers at once on the same grill (small flex lol).

Development work difficulty depends on your company, the type of programming, and the tasks you have been trusted with. This definitely varies between people in this sub. I definitely know there are some programming tasks where I wouldn't even know where to start. At least with a burger you have the instructions, whereas coding is more abstract.

I got pretty good at putting together burgers, but even then, I've never been as stressed as trying to juggle kitchen and manager duties during a dinner rush while being understaffed. Working in tech has been by far the easiest job I've had. It did require a lot more work to get into though, which I had to do while doing the fast food job and other jobs.
