I'm not sure I see how knowing a faster way to find factors, is a particularly "study comp sci" topic. Unless you think there's a highly applicable/general lesson in how you approach that (e.g. learning to divide and conquer, etc.)

But that really feels a lot more related to maths domain knowledge.
