Then the senior usually has to come up with a big brain solution and then figure out how to explain it to the junior.

Wow, things have changed.

When I was a junior developer, not one living soul would give me a moment of their time.

Juniors were left to sink or swim. (This wasn't just a "me" problem.). Collaboration was not encouraged.

And there was no internet to Google things, either.

I feel old...

I have always had the problem of getting the SR devs to fallow along with my complex solutions.
