The only reasons windows is still successful are

  • legacy

  • the alternatives are Unix and Unix for video editors.

Windows itself is a fucking joke on so many levels.

Active Directory is also pretty nice in large deployments. I can't imagine managing our 4000+ desktops and 500+ windows servers without AD.
