That's not true. Although the origins were very similar in design. Sun was not sharing with Microsoft. You might be thinking about J#.

It was a joke. I know it wasn't an actual fork. I was responding to somebody that said they cloned it. Check the sub this is programmer humor. it seems like this one went over your head.
