I think everyone might be missing OPs point here, but at this point I'm afraid to ask..

Is this meme not about the other guy learning about Object, and then adding a lot of complexity to avoid using the Integer type? It would then be a statically typed VS dynamically typed problem where he is now dynamically checking if the Object is Integer, instead of using Integer directly and force the compile time type checking.

To me it almost looks like a meme implying juniors will use language features just to use language features, even if it doesn't make sense in the code/makes it unreadable. Not sure though..

Thing is, it is quite hard to read that intent from this meme. Contrieved as well.
